Led by a dynamic team of recognised scientists, engineers, and managers in the field of semiconductor and photovoltaic technologies, EcoSolifer is on a mission to encourage customers to generate electricity through the lowest achievable cost structure and a local workforce. “We offer commercial bifacial heterojunction solar cells with a 100 Megawatt manufacturing line designed, delivered, and backed by Meyer Burger—a globally active mechanical engineering company. Our strategy is simple: help our clients achieve lower levelised cost of energy (LCOE) and set up a large-scale, concentrated cell manufacturing in one place,” says Akos Haidegger, CEO, EcoSolifer.
EcoSolifer’s heterojunction technology exceeds the individual advantages of crystalline silicon and thin film technologies, driving a reduction in production costs and LCOE and taking energy efficiency to the next level. The company’s solar solutions have been engineered to accomplish significantly lower degradation by higher ambient temperature degradation, high durability with glass-to-glass modules, and cell efficiency of over 24 percent, which continues to grow with time.
The outstanding thermal coefficient of the solution ensures the highest energy yield under warm operational conditions. “Our solution provides a maximum of 4 percent degradation with the heterojunction technology, compared to a much higher percentage in other solutions. What makes the cell module truly unique is the bifacial factor of over 94 percent, which enables more energy generation,” says Haidegger. That’s not all; besides producing green energy with its products, EcoSolifer strongly advocates as well as practices sustainable manufacturing, wherein the materials utilised in the process are completely non-toxic and recyclable.
EcoSolifer’s clientele comprises companies looking to utilise heterojunction solar cells, including global module manufacturers and companies investing in solar parks and utilities. EcoSolifer’s unique solutions are followed by an equally well-thought implementation strategy, whereby the team determines the exact demands and expectations of the client. The analysis is followed by creating a blueprint of the solar park, module, or tools that the client demands. EcoSolifer also ensures that it wins the client’s trust by providing them with an insight into the whole production and implementation process, fostering additional security and delivering a superior experience.

In the years ahead, EcoSolifer aims to increase its heterojunction cell production equipment’s capacity from 100 Megawatt to 500 Megawatt, and finally 600 Megawatt in its existing facility in Hungary. The company maintains its focus on R&D activities in collaboration with large European research institutes and companies and OEMs to explore the scope of heterojunction technology. The company will soon cover the largest part of the value chain, from cell manufacturing to the EPC business. EcoSolifer also looks forward to setting up its own local module manufacturing facility in the near future.
